Favorite McKinstry Value:

Make a Positive Difference

About Ashley:

With a firm focus on equity, sustainability and community engagement, Ashley seeks to make a positive difference by providing an active voice at the table that marries social and environmental responsibility under the tenets of McKinstry’s Action for Impact. She oversees companywide initiatives to advance diversity, equity and inclusion, leads employee volunteerism and philanthropic giving, directs McKinstry’s carbon reduction initiatives and provides collective impact opportunities to McKinstry staff, driving a deeper level of change across our industry and our communities.

Ashley embraces a fully service-based lifestyle as a lifelong community volunteer, working with organizations that support the rights and well-being of women and girls, advance environmental and social justice, and deliver opportunities to underserved and under-resourced youth. At McKinstry, Ashley developed and deployed the company’s Building Good program in 2018, inspiring employees to contribute nearly 20,000 hours of community service to date in partnership with hundreds of nonprofit organizations across the country. She also developed and launched McKinstry’s employee resource groups – called Alliances – which engage hundreds of employees each year in uplifting women, people of color, veterans, and the LGBTQ+ community company-wide. Ashley serves as the inaugural Chair of the Mechanical Contractors Association Western Washington DEIB Committee, and is a member of the SMACNA Western Washington DEI Committee and the City and County of Denver Environmental Justice Committee.

“I am endlessly inspired by the deep commitment to equity, sustainability and community service that is demonstrated every day by team members across McKinstry. We have both a responsibility and an opportunity to engage in matters of social and environmental responsibility – and to show up with dedication, authenticity, empathy and urgency. We work to leverage our collective actions to make a positive difference and enact positive change every day within McKinstry and within our communities. Collectively, we can and must do more to build a thriving planet for all.”
