Educational facilities are chronically underfunded but the pressure to perform has never been greater. Strengthening energy codes and air quality expectations are driving up the costs with little relief in sight. And the skilled staff needed to keep pace with new building automation systems (BAS), lighting controls and other in-building technologies are hard to find, train and keep.
