McKinstry Stands Out from the Crowd with Tailored, Holistic Renewable Energy Solutions for Buildings

Our national renewables team provides in-house expertise for a more impactful transition to clean energy.

Guided by our corporate Action for Impact initiative to address the climate, affordability and equity crises, we are focused on transforming the built environment by breaking down barriers for corporate enterprises pursuing a zero-carbon future.

Our national renewable energy team has successfully developed, built and maintained multi-site, holistic clean energy solutions for clients in the commercial, industrial, property management, real estate investment trust (REIT) and logistics markets.

What Can We Do for You?

McKinstry is different. For our clients, the path to success follows a unique approach:

This approach allows for the most cost-effective installation of renewable solutions that meet the needs of the client.

We also bring a historic track record of expertise in successful implementation of a wide range of funding mechanisms to support a building owner’s energy transition. This includes making the most of legislation like the Inflation Reduction Act, federal, state, and local grants and local government and utility solar incentive programs.

Tailored, Holistic Solutions Maximize Your Project

Utilizing a comprehensive energy and facility operations strategy, versus a single solution like solar only, McKinstry offers the building owner additional value and enhanced lifetime savings. Our solutions maximize the economic and environmental impact of your renewable energy project and result in a clean, affordable and endless supply of power.

“Interest in decarbonization and renewables is flourishing as leaders across the country seek to establish bold, aggressive zero-carbon goals. We’re seeing opportunities to offer robust renewable energy options in nearly every market, helping clients identify creative solutions that not only fit their budget and infrastructure needs but their sustainability goals as well.”– Jeff Hughes, McKinstry’s director of renewable energy services

What Have We Done?

In the past three years, McKinstry’s national renewables team has expanded to include over 20 professionals, and has been awarded projects ranging in size from 500 kW to 15 MW across 14 states. This rapid growth, however, does not change our focus. We remain dedicated to building trust with clients using thoughtful, comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs and desired outcomes For the Life of Your Building™.

In addition to the three projects below, we have collaborated with many other client partners on [generically reference a couple projects not featured in Project Experience that might resonate with the audience].

“We collaborate with our customers to holistically assess technology and project finance solutions, which results in projects that truly meet their long-term sustainability and economic objectives. By approaching projects with the focus squarely on the client and their goals, we offer something unique in the market.” – Director of Project Development Heath Mackay

We are Led by Our Values

At McKinstry, we are led by our values: put people first, build trusted partnerships, be constantly curious and make a positive difference. We are committed to our mission to make every building we touch more efficient through the strength of our collective impact, our innovative prowess and our commitment to building a thriving planet.

As one of the first organizations to sign The Climate Pledge, we are committed to reducing our own net greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2025 and achieving net-zero-carbon by 2030.

We are problem-solvers compelled by our Zero+ Commitment to eliminate barriers standing in the way of a better built environment for our people, clients and communities. We can work with you to create a realistic and actionable pathway to a carbon-free and resilient future.
