McKinstry Honored for Advancing Women-Owned Businesses
McKinstry is proud to be recognized with the WBEC-West Champion Circle Award, an honor that highlights organizations working to expand opportunities for women-owned businesses within their supply chains.
This recognition reflects collaborative efforts across our teams and partners. Through Senior Program Manager Kate Kleyman’s involvement with WBEC-West’s Construction Committee, McKinstry launched a new educational series focused on helping women-owned businesses successfully partner with construction firms. The first session, held in October, featured safety insights by Tom Alvarez.

Kate and Faith Koen, senior purchasing manager, accepted the award at the 22nd Annual WBEC-West Procurement & Awards Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, on behalf of the many individuals contributing to this work.
“This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to equity and to supporting women entrepreneurs,” Kate shared. “We’re grateful for the partnerships that make this work possible and look forward to continuing to build opportunities together in 2026.”
“McKinstry’s sustained engagement has elevated the visibility of women-owned businesses within its own supply chain and among peer corporations,” shared Dr. Pamela Williamson, President and CEO of WBEC-West. “By modeling strong engagement, you have reinforced WBEC-West’s mission and inspired broader corporate participation within the industry of construction.”
