McKinstry Celebrates Women in Construction Week
For more than 65 years, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) has championed the vital role of women in the construction industry through Women in Construction (WIC) Week. Held annually during the first full week of March, WIC Week spotlights the importance of diversity, equity and opportunity in shaping the built environment. This year’s national theme is Level Up/Build Strong: Communities, Careers, Futures. It highlights the power of investing in people to strengthen our industry and our communities.
McKinstry is proud to celebrate the women who lead, build, innovate and inspire across our organization and throughout the industry. From the boardroom to the jobsite, their expertise and leadership are essential to advancing high-performing buildings and resilient communities. This year, McKinstry is marking WIC Week with multiple celebrations across our project teams, client partnerships and internal organization, recognizing the collective impact of women’s leadership in every facet of our work.
Throughout WIC Week, McKinstry is sharing stories that reflect the spirit of NAWIC’s mission: elevating voices, creating pathways and strengthening the future of construction. A key highlight includes a special Building Bridges Forum featuring leaders from across our organization who will share insights into their career journeys, lessons learned and perspectives on the evolving construction landscape. Their stories reflect the opportunities available in this dynamic field and the importance of fostering inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive.
We’re also spotlighting women in the field through “day-in-the-life” video profiles, offering an inside look at careers in construction and the skilled professionals helping shape the built environment. These stories aim to inspire the next generation to see themselves in careers that build communities and power progress.
As McKinstry celebrates WIC Week, the company recognizes that advancing opportunity in construction is not just about one week. It is about sustained commitment. McKinstry remains dedicated to fostering a culture where women can grow their careers, lead boldly and help build stronger communities for generations to come.
