Celebrating Green Sports Day: McKinstry's Commitment to Sustainable Sports and Entertainment Venues

McKinstry recently partnered with the Green Sports Alliance on a playbook for sports and entertainment venues

Each year, the global sports community comes together on October 6 to recognize Green Sports Day. Now in its 8th year, the day has served as an opportunity to champion sustainability action in the sports world.

McKinstry is committed to accelerating energy efficiency and decarbonization efforts through collaboration. Earlier this year, McKinstry joined the Green Sports Alliance (GSA) as a Play to Zero® Partner and a Gold Level Sponsor of their 2023 Summit hosted at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, which brought together international partners, industry leaders, and advocates dedicated to driving positive environmental and social change in the sports and entertainment industries. In partnership with GSA, McKinstry also recently co-authored a “Building For The Next Generation” Playbook on zero-carbon design-build focused on the journey to zero for sports and entertainment venues and highlighting some of the most sustainable sports and entertainment venues in the U.S., complete with details of how they are transforming their communities and the planet.
