McKinstry Appoints Allen Range as Chief Technology Officer

Range to lead McKinstry’s technology strategy to better serve clients and drive innovation for the built environment.

SEATTLE (June 19, 2018) – McKinstry named Allen Range as chief technology officer (CTO). As CTO, Range will lead McKinstry’s enterprise technology team while partnering with the company’s business lines to integrate technology to better serve clients.

McKinstry is currently driving built environment innovation through several technology initiatives, making the chief technology officer role critical. Range will lead technology and IT team involvement in these initiatives, which include efforts to digitize the construction process, partnerships to unlock building system data, and platforms to improve client reporting through advanced analytics and data visualization.

“Promoting Allen Range into the CTO role is the next step in McKinstry’s efforts to leverage technologies to evolve our capabilities and exceed client expectations,” said Dean Allen, chief executive officer at McKinstry. “McKinstry cannot execute our strategic roadmap without pushing what’s possible in technology innovation. Allen is the proven technology leader we need to shepherd McKinstry’s technology strategy into the future.”

“Allen Range has a track record for optimizing technology and delivering improved value across system investments,” said Cheryl Di Re, chief administrative officer at McKinstry. “His leadership has identified opportunities to integrate technology and processes across our business lines to make our teams more effective and efficient. He has earned the respect of our people though his acumen, experience and creativity.”

Range joined McKinstry in early 2018 as senior director of IT operations. Before joining McKinstry, he served as director of IT at the Institute for Systems Biology and senior director of technology operations at Vulcan, Inc. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
