We are currently seeking a Facility Assessment Program Manager to join our team as a member of our growing Technical Services division in Tampa, Florida.

Technology Consulting & Support

As the Facility Assessment Program Manager, you will assist the business development team members to identify potential consulting clients and help develop opportunities through client meetings and sales support activities. It will be important to discover client issues, obstacles and goals and then work with stakeholders to understand them. In this role you will also provide guidance to Technology Solution Engineers to document and assess clients’ existing Building Automation System (BAS) and networking infrastructure. You will advocate to develop strategic, sustainable BAS architecture for our clients.

Project Development, Deployment, and Support

In this role, you design, evaluate, test and manage building technology systems. This will include researching and evaluating new buildings automation products, technologies, and vendors. Another important task will be collaborating with team members, client stakeholders, sub-contractors and third-party vendors for completion of technology systems implementation. You will also provide technology commissioning for BAS projects, including network configuration and performance, adhere to standard and specifications, and other aspects of technology deployment and implementation.


Building and maintaining client relationships will be a critical part of this position. Strong communication skills will take you far in this role as you create presentations for small and large audiences as the technical subject matter expert.  Additionally, you will identify qualify and funnel potential new service opportunities to the Business Development team.

Project Delivery and Support

Coordinating with vendors and subtractors for the completion of the project is another important element to this role. You will develop and manage internal and external scope including Key Performance Indicator to evaluate services in comparison to metrics with the goal of delivering projects on time and in budget; update project plans accordingly. Also, you will generate reports document project, service and financial performance and lead project meetings.


What we would like to see from you:

  • BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or equivalent field of study or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting Building Automation Systems (BAS) and networks.  Experience should include estimating, product selection and sizing, network design, and application of standards & best practices.  Preferred experience with at least two major BAS product lines.  Building commissioning or HVAC operational efficiency experience required.
  • Four (4) years of lead project management experience required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with client-facing presentations and/or sales presentations required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with team development, mentoring and coaching required.
  • Familiarity with various BAS products, including network architectures, protocols, features, capabilities, and limitations. 
  • BAS integration experience required, including BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, and proprietary protocols.  Experience with Tridium Niagara Frameworks (Niagara Certification preferred) and other integration products required.  Strong background using BACnet preferred. 
  • Experience and working knowledge of various network types, including IP, serial (RS-485, FTT-10A), and wireless network technology and protocols.  Understanding of Information Technology (IT) required, including IP network design, management, and security. 
  • Understanding of cyber-security concepts including encryption, access control and management, and best practices. 
  • Extensive understanding of HVAC mechanical system equipment, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.  Control logic programming experience required.  Lighting control, advanced utility metering, data acquisition, and data analysis experience also preferred. 
  • Knowledge and experience in energy efficiency and/or sustainability programs preferred.
  • Energy consulting experience or education preferred.
  • Building commissioning or operational efficiency consulting experience preferred.
  • Technical writing & communications, systems schematics development, and documentation skills required. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint, PowerBI, and MS Teams preferred.
  • PMP, CEM, PE professional designations are preferred.
