This project entailed constructing a 39,200-sq. ft. tire reclamation processing plant on a five-acre site. The first-of-its-kind plant represents a state-of-the-art, fully automated facility that employs a unique process to breaks down waste tires into the saleable basic elements of carbon, oil and steel. McKinstry helped develop the process and evaluated alternate systems and businesses. McKinstry was involved from the ground up in the full installation of all electrical components for the Reklaim Technologies Industrial Facility. This included instrumentation, power distribution, utility input, fire alarm system, multiple generator emergency back-up systems, and multiple ups systems. McKinstry also provided additional Transition to Stabilized Operation (TSO™) services to the client facilitating the smooth transition of the plant from construction to full operation.
