McKinstry provided all HVAC Sheet Metal and Piping, Plumbing, Medical Gasses and Fire Protection Systems for the new Group Health, Bellevue Ambulatory Hospital and Medical Office building.
Special features include two levels of Patient Procedure rooms, seven Operation suites, two levels of Medical Exam rooms, and a huge four-story underground parking structure. The building also includes specialty diagnostic equipment, including MRI and CT Scan Procedure rooms. Mechanical special features designed by McKinstry include three custom AHU’s, two 300-ton chillers, four Hydronic Boilers, 290 terminal units, four humidifiers, hot water heating, chilled water, approximately 460,000 lbs of ductwork, thirty specialty exhaust systems that serve the four stories of medical procedure or suites, and medical exam rooms and offices.
The parking structure features over one mile of 6”, 8” and 10” under-slab drainage and storm water pumps. And the entire facility is accommodated with a fire protection sprinkler system featuring a dry system for the parking area and a wet system serving the hospital and medical office building.
