Congrats to McKinstry’s 2010 Pivotal Leaders – David Allen & Ash Awad

May 2010

Two McKinstry Veeps – Executive Vice-President David Allen and Vice President of Energy and Facility Solutions Ash Award - were chosen by Seattle Venture Capitalist Pivotal Investments as their 2010 pivotal leaders for helping to build a sustainable economic future.

According to the firm, the Northwest has an unprecedented opportunity to deliver the green future we want for our region.  Recently, Washington and Oregon were ranked as the top greenest states in the country with our preferences for just about all things green – from renewable power to eco-friendly cars and facilities to foods, transportation, and the innovative ideas coming out of our business communities.

In fact, Pivotal Investments believes our regions greatest strength lies with promising business leaders; which is why they created the Pivotal Leaders program to identify and raise the profiles of the talented entrepreneurs who are guiding our region as we work to build the future economy.

The Pivotal Leaders were chosen “using a proven, independent selection process in which community members themselves nominate and select a list of the top prospective clean technology venture entrepreneurs with ties to the Northwest.”  Thirty two individuals from businesses across the region were selected for this honor including proven leaders from well-known businesses like Microsoft as well as cleantech entrepreneurs, service providers, investors and those working in the public sector.
