This
fire protection project was a design build, 42 building, 280,000
square foot apartment complex built to replace dilapidated World War II era
University of Washington married student housing.
The project site sits nestled on 40 acres near Sand Point
Naval Base and Magnuson Park. The site also includes a community center and a childcare
center. Buildings were comprised of between 6 and 12 units each.
Thirty of the buildings were of a construction and size to
necessitate the sprinkling of their attics.
This
project was built in three overlapping phases, had a very aggressive
schedule, and was completed two months ahead of schedule. |
