Lake Washington School District received water upgrades that consisted of low flow urinals, waterless urinals and sink aerators, as well as, retrofits to their lighting systems and lighting controls at seven of their facilities. The school district also upgraded the windows at Frost Elementary and improved the shower facilities at Juanita High School. Five facilities had control system improvements completed to the Alerton and Siemens EMCS. A back-up propane vaporizer fuel system was installed and solid waste modifications were implemented. The completed project resulted in significant reduction in the school district’s operational expenditures.
This project results in $226,000 of annual energy cost savings, standardization of lighting systems, improved indoor air quality and removal of gang shower.
