The Fisheries Building is 138,000 square feet of administrative offices, research labs, lab support space, conference rooms, apparatus assembly and staging areas. The primary source of the heating and cooling systems is provided by Central Plant Services through a utility tunnel to the building. The plumbing consisted of installation of restrooms, storm drainage system, conventional waste and vent system, corrosion resistant waste and vent system (labs only), domestic water distribution system, gas piping, de-chlorinated water system, compressed air system and lab vacuum system. The HVAC system consisted of installation of a central stainless steel fume evacuation system incorporating nineteen fume hoods from the first floor to the penthouse roof.

The project incorporated high, medium and low-pressure steam, factory fabricated custom air handling units, air terminal units (VAV), extensive lab piping (air, gas, vacuum, de-chlorinated, and acid resistant waste). Stainless fume hoods and medium pressure ductwork were also installed. The building is a concrete frame structure with a steel/glass fascia.
