This project was a 31,000 square foot data center serving an Internet Service Provider (ISP). It features four 540-tons of cooling with oversized duct distribution to accommodate future heat load shifts. The ductwork was fabricated and shop assembled into large 40-foot sections and shipped to the jobsite for immediate installation, as there was no room from lifts prior to the slab pour.

The project also included installing a large emergency generator system with a 10,000-gallon fuel tank, fuel distribution, double containment fuel fill lines, fuel polishing system, remote radiators, and 16” exhaust piping with primary and secondary silencers - piped with a resonator frequency by-pass loop for low sound dissipation. Fire protection included pre-action systems with detection serving the entire building.

This was a fast track project which was to be plan/spec, but McKinstry took over and re-engineered the project and provided the permit design.
