Complete design-build building remodel totaling 55,000 square feet completed in 6 months, from beginning of design to initial occupancy. The HVAC System features a 460-ton chilled water system, (2) hot water boilers, (2) 100% OSA custom built AHU’s, (3) custom exhaust AHU’s with heating/cooling recovery, redundant distribution pumps, HEPA filtration for specialty equipment, multiple computer/telecom equipment rooms, a stainless steel fume exhaust system, and other specialty hazardous exhaust. Piping and plumbing systems include a CAP I RO/DI system, Oxygen, Hydrogen, Helium, Nitrogen, Argon, Carbon Dioxide, Steam, Potable and Non-Potable water. Wet, Dry, Pre-Action sprinkler systems as well as FM-200 fire protection systems.

McKinstry implemented an innovative heating and cooling system featuring evaporative cooling on the general exhaust and dedicated heat recovery coils/ pumps serving the exhaust and supply air handlers. This leads to a significant energy rebate to the client. On schedule and on-budget while maintaining a high level of attention to quality and the operation of the systems. Complete point-to-point commissioning with all-inclusive FPT’s (Functional Performance Tests) of all components and systems. Approximately 2,000 hours of prefabricated piping/pumping skids, etc. were pre-planned to minimize the “on-site” labor. This planning enabled the fast track schedule to be met.
