This design build project was to provide 10,000 square feet of laboratory and
15,000 square feet of office space in the Nexus Building. Two
custom rooftop air handlers and (13) fume hoods – each with a dedicated exhaust, accommodate the wet chemistry labs, manufacturing labs, and research, cleanroom, mechanical areas. The piping systems include laboratory and domestic waste and vent, potable and non-potable water distribution, RO/DI water distribution, clean dry compressed air, and laboratory gas systems including argon, carbon dioxide and gaseous nitrogen.
This project was very fast track with three months provided for design and six months for construction. Numerous design, detailing and scheduling adjustments were continuously applied to adhere to the architectural and owner scope changes – all while maintaining the established budget and schedule. |
