This 100,000 square foot facility houses the permanent exhibits and administration offices of the Washington State Historical Society, as well as space for traveling exhibits, classrooms, an auditorium, and curatorial functions.

Custom-formed, lead-coated copper roofing was mounted on the barrel vault – custom-formed aluminum cladding, which resulted in an extremely distinctive, eye-catching roof structure. The roof also boasts inimitable and ornamental lead-coated copper band cornice assemblies at each vault.
