McKinstry Co. has been involved in the fire protection division of mechanical construction for over eighteen years. Our fire protection crews specialize in the most complex mechanical projects where space allocations are critical, system function is mandated and where schedule control and acceleration are required.

We have performed on virtually every design/build project that McKinstry has executed over the past eighteen years while maintaining a significant portion of our volume in lump sum bid, plan and specification work to insure our cost competitive position.

With the integration of the estimating and design efforts into our overall mechanical operation, we can estimate and design the fire protection system for our projects concurrent with the mechanical systems. We insure that overall budget control is maintained while a fully coordinated approach is developed. Our staff employs over fifty people, many having worked on the largest and most demanding projects in the region, including work with Microsoft, Seattle Seahawks, Teledesic, Safeco and Amazon.com.
